Helicopter Flight Training Center will add Communication Center Lab to curriculum

The Helicopter Flight Training Center and the National Association of Air Medical Communication Specialists (NAACS) are pleased to announce their joint effort to create a Communication Center Lab. The idea was finalized during the last NAACS board meeting, hosted by the training center.

“The organization looks forward to the development and utilization of the ‘communications lab’ at the new facility,” said NAACS President David Ross. “Communications simulation and scenario training offered at the lab will allow the student to explore advanced and complex problems.” He added that the organization’s commitment to providing local classes will remain unchanged.

The board is currently considering a two to three tier advanced course curriculum. “Communication Specialists are vital to the helicopter industry and we are excited to add this course to our growing list of training opportunities,” said Metro Aviation President Mike Stanberry.
